Students Connect with Business and Industry
Seniors in the Clean Tech ECHS program had the opportunity to present their solar energy projects to business and industry partners, receive feedback, and make changes for their expo presentations in January. Representatives from Apex Solar, Applied Materials, BPI, Center for Economic Growth, GLOBALFOUNDRIES, Hodgson Russ Attorneys, HVCC, Polyset, and Regeneron provided students with valuable real world expertise.
All students in the Clean Tech ECHS program have the opportunity to complete a 40 hour work based learning experience in business and industry during the summer before their senior year. These job shadow experiences provide students the opportunity to be actively and productively engaged in the workplace. They are designed to give students hands-on experience in a field of interest, learn and practice occupational skills, and provide the opportunity to learn about career options. If you are interested in hosting a student for a job shadow related to Clean Energy, Computer Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Entrepreneurship, or Mechatronics, please contact Adrienne Snow, ECHS Program Coordinator, at asnow@bscsd.org.
