Unfortunately, the Ballston Spa Central School District continues to eliminate certain bus routes as we are confronted with a need for additional staff members in the district’s Transportation Department. Bus Drivers, Substitute Bus Drivers, and Bus Attendants are all needed to ensure the district can transport all students on the district’s bus routes each morning and afternoon.
The district is asking for everyone’s help in recruiting new employees to join us in the Transportation Department. Adults do not need to have a current CDL license (we’ll train you), but do need an interest in working with students and helping us through the current staff shortages.
The current rate of pay for the positions needed include, Bus Drivers: $24.30/hr, Substitute Drivers: $23.57/hr, Driver in Training: $20.60/hr, Bus Attendants: $17.37/hr and Substitute Bus Attendants: $16.85/hr.
Positions include guaranteed hours, paid training, possibility of a regular route with health benefits, school breaks, holidays and summers off.
