District Receives Support from Malta Food Fest

The 3rd annual Malta Food Fest was hosted by the Saratoga County Chamber at TEC-SMART in Malta earlier this winter. There was an amazing response from district residents and supporters, with close to 200 dinners being sold before the event.  In total, an impressive $5,340 was raised from ticket sales and an online auction.  The district is thankful for the support of Chamber President Todd Shimkus and The Saratoga County Chamber.  The district also extends appreciation to all the sponsors, supporters, and the participating restaurants, including HVCC/TEC-SMART, State Farm Representative Mackenzie Frederick, Pizza Works, Bowled, The Hideaway, The Ugly Rooster-Malta and Nothing Bundt Cakes.

As in previous years, proceeds from the event benefit the school district’s Ballston Spa Partnership for Innovation in Education Fund and the many amazing programs it financially supports. A silent auction of gift baskets, donated items and gift certificates was also held online this year which added to the impressive fundraising.  To date, more than $18,000 has been raised from three Malta Food Fest events. For additional information regarding the next Malta Food Fest, please contact Adrienne Snow or Kelly Delaney-Elliott or call at (518) 884-7195 ext. 1369.
