The Ballston Spa Education Foundation (BSEF) recently presented over $7,900 in Fall 2018 grant awards to educators in the Ballston Spa Central School District for educational enrichment projects throughout the district. The recent fall cycle included the following grants: $586 for the SeaPerch Robotics program at the Ballston Spa Middle School (BSMS), $2,328 to purchase materials for a MakersSpace at Wood Road, $2,500 to acquire trail camera for use at the High School and Wood Road, $2,145 for speech devices to be used districtwide and $341 for instructional carpets at the Malta Avenue School.
With these latest grant awards, the BSEF has, since its inception in 1996, funded over $371,000 in enrichment grants to the school district. The Ballston Spa Education Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with an all-volunteer board made up of community members whose mission is to raise and distribute resources for educational enrichment opportunities outside the realm of the daily operational needs of the Ballston Spa Central School District.
