Updates for Elementary Families 9-23-21
We are celebrating homecoming with a district wide Spirit Week! Please see the chart for the daily themes in our elementary schools. Let’s Go Scotties!
Joining Classes Remotely
At this time the only students joining classes remotely are those on mandatory quarantine.
Arrival/Dismissal - We thank you all for helping us to continue to improve our pick up and drop off procedures at the Wood Road complex. As we evaluate our processes, please help us by reviewing the following items:
Please have students prepared to exit vehicles on their own when directed to do so by staff. Parents/guardians should stay inside the vehicles.
Please follow the directions of staff directing traffic.
Most students should be able to load themselves in their vehicles. For those younger students that need additional assistance, please secure them in the vehicle as quickly and safely as possible to maintain the flow of traffic.
Morning drop-off concludes at 9:15 am. If you arrive after this time, please bring your child to the main entrance. Please do not drop students off if there are no staff members present to receive them.
Drive Through Food Pantry - Sept. 28
Ballston Spa National Bank (BSNB), in cooperation with the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York is hosting its next contactless drive-thru food pantry on Tuesday, September 28th, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The event, which will be held at the Bank’s corporate offices located at 990 State Route 67 in Ballston Spa, is open to area families and individuals in need of food assistance. Community members will receive food on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last.
BSNB employee volunteers will welcome attendees and load boxes of food directly into the trunk of each vehicle. All volunteers will follow CDC guidelines by wearing appropriate masks and gloves while actively practicing social distancing. Items to be distributed include fresh produce, dairy, frozen meats and non-perishable food items.
