Substance Use Education and Prevention Program

The Ballston Spa Central School District Health and Wellness team is offering an evening program on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 for parents, staff and community members interested in learning more about current drug trends among teenagers.

Three sessions will be presented between 6:30pm -  8:30pm and interested participants may attend any or all of the three; no pre-registration is required.

Current Drug Trends will be the first session from 6:30-7:15pm. A Panel Discussion with Q/As will be presented as the second session from 7:15pm -  8:00pm. These two sessions are also scheduled to be broadcast on the district’s YouTube Channel HERE or https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCajHlMqBu-pfUxmhmWlpTMw

The third session is a Narcan Training from 8:00pm - 8:30pm for those interested in learning about providing emergency treatment – a free Narcan Kit will be provided to those in attendance. All sessions will be offered in the Ballston Spa High School Library, 220 Ballston Avenue, Ballston Spa.

The program is open to the public, free for all and light refreshments will be provided. The evening is being presented by The Prevention Council and the Healing Springs Recovery Center.
