Rockets are Flying at the Middle School!

Yesterday the Sciencebowl club at the middle school advised by Jeff Gargano and Matt Hoag launched their newly designed solid fuel rockets in preparation for this year’s Team America Rocketry Challenge (TARC). This was the students first attempts at building a rocket. The launches went great and now students will use their prowess to build rockets that can launch 3 raw eggs to a specified height and return them safely to the ground. This is an international competition sponsored by multiple corporations such as Lockheed Martin and Raytheon and offer up to 25k in scholarships and is open to all students grades 6-12.
