Ballston Spa Students Earn New York State Seal of Biliteracy
Ballston Spa High School once again provided the opportunity for graduating seniors to earn the New York State Seal of Biliteracy (NYSSB) with over 50 students qualifying in the Class of 2023. The NY State Education Department established the NYSSB in 2012 to recognize high school graduates who have attained a high level of proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in one or more languages, in addition to English.

Ballston Spa Honors College Bound Athletes
The Ballston Spa Central School District’s Athletic Department recently held a recognition ceremony for six graduating athletes who are joining a Division ll level college team next year. The ceremony was held in the Ballston Spa High School Library on June 1, 2023.

Saratoga County School Boards Association Scholarship Winner!
Ballston Spa senior Lee McKinley was presented with a 2023 Student Community Service Award from the Saratoga County School Board Association at a recent recognition ceremony in Clifton Park. She was one of 12 students from high schools throughout Saratoga County to receive the award for outstanding community service. The students were recognized and honored with a $150 scholarship at the event. Lee is shown in the photo with Superintendent Dr. Duca (l) and Board of Education President Jason Ferneau (r). She will graduate on June 22, 2023 with her classmates at the Ballston Spa High School Commencement Ceremony held at SPAC at 4pm.

Ballston Spa High School’s Troupe presents Mean Girls – High School Edition
The students in the Ballston Spa High School Troupe will present their annual spring production - Mean Girls – High School Edition - on March 30th, 31st, April 1st at 7:00pm and April 1st, 2nd at 1:00pm at the Ballston Spa High School Auditorium, 220 Ballston Ave, Ballston Spa. Tickets will be available at the door and are $10/Adults and $5/Students.

College Application and Admission Process Parent/Student Information Night
Students and families are invited to attend our virtual event on March 8, 2023 at 6pm. Representatives from Siena, Skidmore, and University at Albany will be sharing their knowledge and expertise on a variety of topics such as: the application process, college essay writing, letters of recommendation and SAT vs. ACT testing.
