  • Odyssey of the Mind Team going to Worlds

    Malta Avenue Elementary School students earn the second place trophy in their division at the NY State Odyssey of the Mind Finals Competition in Syracuse and moves forward to compete in the World Championship for Odyssey of the Mind this May in Ames, Iowa.

  • Budget Vote and BOE Election Results

    The Ballston Spa community approved the district’s 2022-2023 budget proposal of $98,575,342 with an unofficial total of 75.6% of voters supporting the budget proposal.

    The Ballston Spa Central School District invites adults interested in learning more about driving a school bus to contact the Transportation Department. Positions are now available for Bus Drivers, Bus attendants and Substitute Drivers.

  • School District Budget Vote - May 17

    The annual statewide School Budget Vote and Board of Education Elections will be held TODAY on May 17, 2022 from 7:00 am – 9:00 pm. District residents vote at Ballston Spa High School (residents of the Towns of Ballston, Milton and Charlton) and the Malta Town Hall (residents of Malta).

    The latest copy of the District newsletter, The Reader, is now available online and is being mailed to area residents in the coming weeks. The newsletter contains information on the annual school district budget vote and the Board of Education elections.

  • School Pride Day 2022 - TODAY - May 17

    Time to show your Scottie Pride! Our annual BSCSD SCHOOL PRIDE DAY will return this year on May 17, 2022 concurrently with the school district budget vote and Board of Education election. Along with the other annual activities (BBQ, Ice Cream Social, Concerts, etc.), student artwork and projects will be displayed at the High School and at the Malta Town Hall throughout the day.

  • Meet the Board of Education Candidates Night

    A Meet the Board Candidates Night was held on Monday, May 2, 2022. The Saratoga County League of Women Voters facilitated the evening to give area residents a chance to learn more about the five candidates running for the Board of Education. The evening was broadcast on the district's YouTube channel and is now available for viewing.

  • Superintendent of Schools Announces Departure

    Superintendent of Schools Ken Slentz has announced that after four years with the district he will be leaving during the summer of 2022. Mr. Slentz has accepted a position as the Superintendent of Schools at the Dobbs Ferry Union Free School District in Westchester County.

    We currently have two bus routes that cannot be covered today (am & pm), May 6, 2022. Those school buses are #358 (Shark) and #379 (Dinosaur) for High/Middle School and Elementary School students due to increasing COVID-19 cases amongst our Transportation staff.
