  • Malta Food Fest Silent Auction is live...

    The Saratoga County Chamber will host the 2nd Annual Malta Food Fest on Thursday, January 28th, at TEC-SMART in Malta from 4:30 – 7:00pm. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample delicious offerings, packaged in grab and go containers, from some of the best restaurants in Malta, Ballston Spa and surrounding communities.

    Our continued thanks for your understanding and support during these past two weeks of fully remote instruction. At this time, we have sufficient staffing in place to be able to open for in-person learning for all schools on January 25, 2021.

    The Ballston Spa Central School District is currently enrolling students for its Universal Prekindergarten Program for the 2021-2022 school year. The application deadline is January 31, 2021.

  • A Message from the Superintendent - Remote Learning - Jan 19 - 22

    As we continue to experience increases in students and staff testing positive (34 since last Friday) and quarantining (130 since last Friday), we no longer have the staff needed to reopen for in-person learning next week. As a result, we will remain fully remote for all grades January 19 – January 22, 2021.

  • Reminders from the Elementary Schools - Remote Learning Jan 11-15, 2021

    Our elementary students will have a half day of remote instruction on Monday, January 11th from 9:00-11:00 AM. Breakfast and Lunch meals are available to any student during the Remote Learning week (Jan 11-15).

    The district is following a fully remote model for all grades K-12 on January 11 – January 15, 2021. Breakfast and Lunch meals are available FREE to any student - pickup is on 1/11 & 1/13 from 1:15-2:15 pm at Gordon Creek Elementary School for all families.

    As noted in recent Updates, our goal is to move back to our in-person/remote (hybrid) learning model for all students in K-12 beginning on Monday, January 11. This will be dependent on information that we receive between now and then including new cases and quarantines. We will update you on Friday, January 8 and again on Sunday, January 10 on this plan.

    Reminder, Grades 6-12 students will be fully remote for the week of January 4-8 and Grades K-5 students will continue with remote and in-person learning as before.     The Ballston Spa Community Emergency Corporation recently donated Bleeding Control Kits to the Ballston Spa Central School District for the district’s six schools and also provided a kit for the St. Mary’s School.

    Based on our current information, our January 4 reopening will be for Grades 6-12 – Students will be fully remote for the week of January 4-8 and Grades K-5 – there will be no change with remote and in-person learning continuing as before.
