  • District Budget Vote Information

    The annual statewide School Budget Vote and Board of Education Elections will be held by mail with ballots due back to the district by 5:00 pm on June 9, 2020. A Budget Hearing will take place on May 27, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be presented to the public via live stream directly on Twitter or via the District’s website.

  • Top Students Announced at BSHS

    Ballston Spa High School Principal Gianleo Duca recently announced Caitlin Doyle as the Valedictorian and Alexandra Nicolaus as the Salutatorian for the Ballston Spa High School Class of 2020. The Graduation Ceremony has been postponed until August 4, 2020 , and will be held, pending final approvals, at the Times Union Center in Albany starting at 6:30pm.

  • Drive Through Food Pantry - 5/29

    We will host a community food distribution on May 29th at the Ballston Spa High/Middle Schools. Families are invited to enter the bus loop by the Middle School and remain in their cars while volunteers load FREE food and supplies into their car.

  • District Selects New Elementary School Principal

    The district has selected Sarah Johnson as the new Malta Avenue Elementary School Principal. Johnson was appointed by the Board of Education at its May 20, 2020 meeting with a July 1, 2020 start date.

  • Robotics Team Earns Chairman’s Award

    The team was recognized with the Chairman’s Award for the New York Tech Valley Region. This award is the highest honor given during the FIRST Robotics Competition season, recognizing the team that best represents a model for other teams to emulate and best embodies the purpose and goals of FIRST.

  • Meals Available for F/R Lunch Students

    Free/Reduced Breakfasts and Lunches are available for students enrolled in the program. Parents or other family members may pick up at the High School. The elementary school Backpack Food Program will also continue during the school closure according to the same delivery methods/time.

  • Scotty’s Restaurant Supports BackPack Program

    The BackPack program has continued to operate throughout the school closure and exists solely through the support of sponsorships, donations and the work of many community volunteers and staff who donate their time each week to delivery, packaging and distribution of the bags.

    Ballston Spa Central School District residents interested in being a member of the Board of Education (BOE) need to submit a petition by 5:00 pm on May 11, 2020 to be included on the June 9, 2020 ballot.

  • Kindergarten Registration - UPDATE

    Kindergarten screening and registration dates are postponed and will be rescheduled after the Ballston Spa schools re-open. Parents will be notified of new dates to visit the schools by mail. If you have a child who will be entering Kindergarten this September and you have not been in touch with the BSCSD Registration Office, please call (518) 602-0256 to pre-enroll the student.

  • Robotics Team Develops STEM Activities

    The Ballston Spa High School Robotics Team OxBe4 originally coordinated various STEM activities and supplied materials to encourage the spread of STEM education in rural Afghanistan. During these extraordinary conditions and time, the team is now providing access to these STEM projects to the school children in the community.

  • A Message from the Superintendent (04.06.20 update)

    There has been a flurry of activities today related to the COVID-19 closure, the first of which came from the Board of Regents announcing that this year‘s Regents exams are cancelled and that changes will be forthcoming regarding how we will award units of credit to students in credit bearing courses. This was followed by the Governor announcing that our closure will now continue until April 29.
