  • Drive Through Food Pantry - 7/21

    We will host a community food distribution on July 21, 2020 starting at 9am at the Ballston Spa High/Middle Schools. All families/community members are invited to enter the bus loop by the Middle School and remain in their cars while volunteers load FREE food/supplies into their car.

  • Scotties Stampede 5k Walk/Run - 8/1

    The 5th Annual Scotties Stampede 5k Walk/Run has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 1 at 9:00 am. As in year's past the race will begin and end near the Middle School tennis courts.

  • Morley Literacy Award Presented to Students

    Ballston Spa fifth grade students were recently recognized at the annual 5th Grade Moving-Up ceremonies at their elementary schools before the summer break. One student at each school was presented with the Maurice “Christopher” Morley Literacy Award.

  • Childcare for Essential Personnel

    As we move towards the completion of the school year and look towards the summer, we know that some of you may still struggle with having access to quality child care. Please be aware that New York State provides a Capital District Child Care Coordinating Council as a resource for essential workers, to secure child care during the summer months.

  • MTS Alumni Open Time Capsule

    When Ballston Spa teacher Margaret Morrone retired from Milton Terrace South Elementary School in 2009, she buried a time capsule with the students in her First Grade class. The students are now graduating with the Class of 2020 and recently opened up the time capsule with their former teacher.

  • Virtual Field Days

    For the first time at BSCSD, the elementary school Physical Education staff have worked together to create a VIRTUAL FIELD DAY! Elementary students are invited to participate by goin to their PE teacher's google classroom to view the videos and directions for eight fun filled events.

    Everyone in the Ballston Spa school community is invited to join together for a Community Parade to congratulate the BSHS Class of 2020 and send them off in Ballston Spa style on Thursday, June 25, 2020.   • New School Principal For Malta Avenue

    The district has selected Sarah Johnson as the new Malta Avenue Elementary School Principal. Johnson was appointed by the Board of Education at its May 20, 2020 meeting with a July 1, 2020 start date.

  • Ballston Spa CSD Mourns Loss of Students

    The Ballston Spa school community has recently suffered the loss of two students that had touched the lives of many. One a current student at the Gordon Creek Elementary School, and the other a recent graduate from the Ballston Spa High School. Both are children of long-time employees in the district.

  • New Principal Selected for Gordon Creek

    The District has selected Donald Brandt as its new Gordon Creek Elementary School Principal. Brandt was appointed by the Board of Education at the June 3, 2020 meeting with a July 1, 2020 start date. He currently serves as the assistant principal at the Ballston Spa High School.

  • School Budget Preliminary Vote Results

    Thank you to the Ballston Spa community for approval of the district’s 2020-2021 budget proposal of $93,258,635 with an unofficial vote of 75% voting yes and 25% voting no.

  • Budget Vote and BOE Election Information

    This year’s Budget Vote and Board Election will take place by absentee ballot only. All registered voters will be receiving information on the process directly in the mail. Ballots must be received in the mail by June 16th or in a ballot drop box by 5pm on June 9.

  • 2020-21 Budget Vote and BOE Elections - Frequently Asked Questions

    On Friday, May 1, 2020, Governor Cuomo issued Executive Order No. 202.26 which modified the rules under which school districts are to conduct the 2020 election of school board members and budget votes, specifically that both would occur on June 9th and through mail-in ballot only. This in turn caused us to change a number of our typical processes and has led to a number of questions.

  • District Budget Vote Information

    The annual statewide School Budget Vote and Board of Education Elections will be held by mail with ballots due back to the district by 5:00 pm on June 9, 2020. A Budget Hearing will take place on May 27, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be presented to the public via live stream directly on Twitter or via the District’s website.
