Stay Connected with ParentSquare
For the 2026-2027 school year, Ballston Spa CSD will begin utilizing a communication system known as ParentSquare to provide parents and community members with important announcements and timely alerts. Families are able to receive messages through email, app, voice, or text, helping everyone stay informed and involved. This service will completely replace the SchoolMessenger system once rollout is complete.
An account is automatically created for each parent or guardian using the contact information in our student information system. We encourage you to activate your account to download the free mobile app, set your language preferences, and choose how and when you’d like to receive messages.
What you can do with ParentSquare:
- Receive updates from your school via email, app, or text notification
- Choose to get posts as they’re shared or bundled in a daily digest
- View posts, photos, calendars, and important announcements
- Communicate in your preferred language with automatic translation
- Comment on school posts and stay engaged with your school community
- Send direct messages to teachers and staff
- Participate in group conversations with other families
- Sign up for conferences and school events
- Fill out forms, sign permission slips, and more—all in one place
Opting out
We use ParentSquare only for school-related communication. If you wish to stop receiving notifications, you can opt out at any time. Learn more about your options on this Opt-Out Form.
Information for Self Sign-up
We encourage community members to sign-up to receive messages from the district! If you do not currently have children in Ballston Spa CSD, you may sign up to receive district messages. Any community member who was already signed up previously in SchoolMessenger has been added to ParentSquare.
ParentSquare Sign-up Process
- Using the ParentSquare website, Users can generate an account activation email/ text to register their account.
- Visit https://www.parentsquare.com/signin Under Register, enter Email or Cell Phone Number. You must use the same email/phone you provided to your school.
- Click Get Started.
- If the email/phone matches the information in ParentSquare, user receives an account activation email/text to register.
