Voters Approve Facilities Improvement Plan
Ballston Spa CSD Facilities Improvement Project - Fall 2018
The Board of Education is holding a referendum on October 16, 2018 for a facilities improvement project to continue addressing infrastructure needs as identified in Phase III of the district’s facilities master plan. The proposed improvements include renovations, beginning with critical health, safety and infrastructure items in the Grove Street section of the Malta Avenue Elementary School as well as the outdated classrooms, bathrooms and locker rooms at the Ballston Spa Middle School. High School renovations include the replacement of the cogeneration equipment and related control systems, upgrades to the auditorium and technology classroom access. The proposed athletic improvements include rehabilitation to fields in front of and behind the Middle School, the construction of a new multipurpose field on the south end of the campus and a new athletic storage building.
Please see the site plans and drawings via the link to the left or click HERE. The Board of Education approved the scope of the proposed project, including costs and schedule, at the August 1, 2018 meeting and plans for the Facilities Bond Referendum at the August 15, 2018 meeting.

Renovations are proposed for the Grove Street section of the Malta Avenue Elementary School (~1920) that were not incuded in Phase II of the Facilities Improvement Project.
