  • GC Backpack Program Receives Donation

    Applied Materials employees participated in the Malta 5K and based upon the number of people they had participate, the 5K is awarding $200 to their charity of choice, the Gordon Creek Backpack program. At the check presentation (LR) are Malta 5K Race Director Paul Loomis, Applied Material’s Bethany Placides and Gordon Creek staff members Rebecca Potter, Sandy Balet, Miranda Glogowski, Carolyn Mitchell and Kim Turney.

  • Student Drop Off at Gordon Creek

    Student Drop Off 8:55-9:05 AM. Breakfast students may be dropped off at 8:50 AM but must be walked across the crosswalk by a parent/guardian. Buses unload at 9:00 AM. Students who are being dropped off at school in the morning may be dropped off beginning at 8:55 AM. Staff will be in the parking lot to cross students from 8:55 AM until 9:05 AM. Students that arrive after 9:05 AM should be walked into the main office by a parent/guardian. For safety reasons, students should exit the side of the vehichle that faces the bus loop to avoid traffic. Students should not walk unattended through the parking lot.

  • GC PTA Volunteers Needed for Holiday Shoppe

    Holiday Shoppe Volunteers Needed Gordon Creek PTA and Milton Terrace PTA will be hosting the annual Holiday Shoppe on Thursday, December 12th. During this time, students will have the opportunity to purchase gifts for their loved ones from local craft vendors. Additional information regarding this event will be sent out in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, we would love to have volunteers sign up to help students shop and to assist with wrapping gifts that day! You can sign up by submitting the attached form or at https://signup.com/go/dYkCGfz. We are also looking for donations of gift labels, tape, scissors and wrapping paper!   • Gordon Creek Giving Tree

    Help grant a holiday wish or need for a Gordon Creek student. The tree is now up in the main office of Gordon Creek Elementary. It is decorated with ornaments detailing an item needed for holiday recipients. To Participate: 1. Take an ornament from the tree. 2. Purchase the gift listed on the ornament. 3. Return the ornament & UNwrapped gift to the main GC office by Friday, December 13th. Your gifts will mean everything to a child in need.     Our School Day at Gordon Creek Elementary

    Thursday and Friday, December 5 and 6 are 1/2 Days for K-5 Students for Parent-Teacher Conferences 

    School Begins at 9:00 AM. School Dismisses at 3:20 PM.

    Arrival 8:55-9:05 AM

    Buses unload at 9:00 AM. Student Drop Off begins at 8:55 AM unless students eat breakfast at school.     Dismissal - 3:20 PM

    If your student is being picked up during or after school, please send a note in to school with your student.

    Students who are absent from school, upon return, will need a note from a parent/guardian stating the reason for the absence.

     

     During the winter months, students will be going outside for recess when weather permits. Please make sure your student comes to school with the proper clothing.

  • Educators Awarded BSEF Grants

    The Ballston Spa Education Foundation (BSEF) recently presented $6,047.80 in Fall 2019 grant awards to educators in the Ballston Spa Central School District for educational enrichment projects throughout the district.

  • Robotics team Hosts FLL Qualifying Tournament

    Ballston Spa High School’s FIRST Robotics Team 3044 will be hosting a Hudson Valley FLL Qualifying tournament on December 14, 2019. There will be nine FIRST LEGO League (FLL) teams representing area schools competing in the tournament. The top teams have the opportunity to advance on to a Championship Tournament at Dutchess Community College on February 8, 2020.

  • Winter Concerts in our Schools

    The Ballston Spa Central School District Music Department is presenting several winter concerts during the upcoming weeks. The concerts are free and members of the community are welcome at all venues. Students and families are specifically invited and encouraged to attend and support the performing artists.

  • Athletic Hall of Fame Requests Nominations

    The Ballston Spa Athletics Hall of Fame Committee requests nominations for its 2020 induction class. Online nomination forms may be submitted at ballstonspaathleticshalloffame.com until January 15, 2020.
