School Counselors and Parents...Partners in Education

As students progress from one grade to the next, their counselor loops with them, providing continuity and time to really get to know students and their parents. We take a holistic approach to ensure that each of our students has a positive experience here at BSMS.  We will work with you and your child to be sure they are well prepared for successfully meeting the challenges of the future.

School counselors' play a key role in helping shape students for success.  The focus is not only on academics but on social-emotional growth and career exploration as well. We help guide students and families on finding the balance between the demands of family, friends, activities, sports and academics.  Working on skills like organization, time management, study skills, work habits and cooperation will serve students well in all they do. We work hard to help students and parents navigate through the middle school years.
