School Counseling K-12
Welcome to the school counseling center. School counselors design and deliver school counseling programs that improve student outcomes. They lead, advocate, and collaborate to promote equity and access for all students, and to create a school culture of success for all. They are an integral part of the educational system, helping students form healthy goals, mindsets and behaviors. They help all students apply academic achievement strategies, manage emotions and apply interpersonal skills, and plan for postsecondary options. School counselors can also provide short-term counseling, referrals for long-term support, and collaboration with stakeholders for student success.
