Register for our 2025-26 Universal Pre-Kindergarten - Few Spots Left!
Did you know that Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) programming is a state and federally funded program offered to families FREE of charge, regardless of income status. The only eligibility requirement is a child’s age and residency within the Ballston Spa Central School District.
The Ballston Spa Central School District is excited to offer UPK programming in 7 local pre-kindergarten locations for the 2025 school year. All programs are full-day and most locations also provide options for before/after care and daycare during school breaks.
There are still spots still available for the 2025-26 school year based on current registration. Families with a child that will turn 4 on or before December 1st, 2025 are encouraged to visit the District UPK web page to learn more about UPK programming and complete the registration process.
The 2025-2026 Universal Pre-Kindergarten web page is now available at https://www.bscsd.org/
The Open Enrollment period will run from February 10, 2025 - March 28, 2025.
For the 2025-2026 school year, agencies that will partner with the district to provide full-day Universal Pre-Kindergarten classrooms are Advanced Therapy PLLC, Ballston Area Community Center, Childtime of Ballston Spa, Childtime of Mechanicville, Jumper Bean Preschool, LifeWorks Head Start, and Little Achievers Child Care and Learning Center.
Children who reside within the school district and are four years of age on or before December 1, 2025 are eligible.
In the event that there are more applicants than available spaces, all complete applications will be included in a random lottery that will be conducted at the close of the enrollment period. Those not selected in the lottery will be placed on a waiting list. All families who submit a timely application will be mailed acceptance/declination letters after the lottery. All complete applications received after the March 28 deadline will be placed on a waiting list in the order in which they are received.
