BSCSD Thanks Our Community for Generous Donations to Scotties Pantry

A group of people, including a man, a woman, and three other individuals, are standing in front of a building holding various boxes and bags filled with what appear to be donations or supplies.

Scotties Pantry is a program that helps students who are dealing with food insecurity. There are pantries located in each of our buildings that students use for a snack or to help manage a weekend or holiday break when food sources may be limited. Without these pantries, many students would go without.

All food collected was delivered on Tuesday August 6, 2024 to Gianleo Duca, Superintendent of Schools, Kevin Flores, Director of Student Support Services, and Deb Dugan, our McKinney Vento Liaison. On top of the generous donation of food, we were also presented with a $2000 check to help keep Scotties Pantry stocked for our students in need.

Many thanks to our community, Ballston Spa Mayor Frank Rossi and Gina Marozzi for your efforts to make this happen in support of our students and families.
