*****
The Board of Education has approved the 2023-2024 budget of $104,232,811 and the annual budget vote and Board member election will be held May 16, 2023.
The approved budget includes a tax levy increase of 3.1%, which is less than the District's Tax Cap of 7.0%.
The Tax Cap for the District is particularly high this year due to inflation, new growth (construction) in the tax base, a lower PILOT payment from Global Foundries, and added debt service expensive for the Capital Project approved in 2018.
