  • Manners Matter at Gordon Creek

This school year Gordon Creek students have been focusing on the top 25 manners students should know by the time they are 9 years old. The theme was Manners Matter! Each week during the school year a new manner was introduced to the students and then, with the support of the staff in the school, students were encouraged to use that manner on a daily basis. Some of the manners the children learned were saying please/thank you, holding the door for others, not interrupting when an adult is speaking, using positive comments with others and saying good morning/how are you. Students did such a great job using manners throughout the school year they earned Kona Ice provided by the Gordon Creek PTA and the School Pride Committee. Students submitted either a fill in the blank sheet or a drawing piece about manners for a chance to win POP figurines as part of the Manners Monday activity also. Manners do matter at Gordon Creek!
