The votes are in… the students of Gordon Creek Elementary School have chosen The Saratoga County Animal Shelter and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as their recipients of the Penny Harvest funds! Gordon Creek raised $2,322.57 during the Penny Harvest! Amazing job, Gordon Creek community! These funds will be split between our two chosen charities. A check presentation ceremony will take place on Tuesday, May 21 (School Pride/Budget Vote Day) at 6:15pm at the high school. Each year, the Penny Harvest students from each of the district’s six schools gather in the high school auditorium to present checks to their chosen not-for-profit organizations. The Penny Harvest students from each school are invited to go up on stage, and then our organizations will say a few words. There is also a reception in the high school cafeteria afterwards, where there will be snacks/drinks and displays by all of the schools and the organizations. THANK YOU to all of the Penny Harvest Round Table students, and all of the Gordon Creek community, who worked together to gather these funds to help support the Animal Shelter and St. Jude’s!
