The Ballston Spa Central School District is pleased to provide potential residents with information about our district as you decide on where you will make your next home. As Superintendent of Schools, I can assure you that our district provides a rigorous and challenging academic program along with extensive opportunities in the arts, athletics, a wide variety of clubs and activities and a strong support services network for all of our children.  

Over the past three years, Ballston Spa High School has been recognized on the "Best High Schools” list compiled annually by U.S. News and World Report, the Washington Post or Newsweek Magazine.  The High School also received the AP Achievement Award from the College Board for increasing access to AP coursework while maintaining achievement levels in two of the past three years.  In September 2012, the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program was launched, an internationally recognized program of study that exemplifies college and career readiness, and we also operate a Clean Technologies and Sustainable Industries Early College High school in collaboration with Hudson Valley Community College, NYSERDA and over 25 additional partners in business and industry. 

Our Board of Education is very committed to our community and their involvement in our district, and we firmly stand behind our motto, “Educating Everyone Takes Everyone.”  On a daily basis, you can see parents, volunteers, service organizations and businesses incorporated into our schools and programs.

We are excited about the future in our area and the growing community of new businesses as well as residents. Our schools are leaders in the region in innovative academic programming and are at the forefront of providing curriculum and instruction to meet the needs of 21st Century students. Our students will be well prepared for their futures as they complete our graduation competencies during their school years in Ballston Spa.
