Student-Athlete Highlights - 1st: Lauren Kersch K's all 3 in the first half, Ana Gold hits a 2 out double in the bottom half but is stranded. 2nd: 3 up, 3 down. Pop-out to 2nd and two K's. Scotties get in scoring position but didn't push the run across the board. 3rd: Kersch K's 3 more, Scotties put up 2 runs on 3 singles by Megan McMahon, Gold, and Kersch. 4th: 2 more K's and another pop-out to 2nd in the top half. 3 up, 3 down for the Scotties. 5th: Fly out to right, and two more K's for Kersch. Scotties put two up on the board. Julia Russell walks and Ana Gold hits a 2 run HR to put the Scotties up 4-0. 6th: Kersch K's the side. Bottom Half: Alison Sgambati hits a one out solo HR, Katelyn Hilko gets on by error. McMahon gets on by filders choice. Julia Russell singles to put runners on 1st and 2nd for Gold. Gold hits an RBI single followed by Angelina Stile's 2 RBI double. Kersch helps her cause with an RBI single and Paige Davis with an RBI single to follow. Caroline Srokowski returns to the plate after leading off the inning and hits an RBI double. Scotties are now up 11-0; Sgambati crushes her second homerun of the inning for two more runs to end the game in mercy rule 13-0.

SAC Fly for an RBI. All Runners advance on the catch. Angelina Stile with a 2 RBI single putting the Scotties up 3-2. Kersch flies out to right which ends the inning. Top 6- George draws a walk to lead off the inning, Rifenberick also walks. Sano with a sac bunt to put both runners in scoring position. Haynes with a single to right field scoring George to tie the game. Next to batters retired by pop out and strikeout. Bottom 6- Tie game. Paige Davis gets on by error. Srokowski Sac bunts to advance Davis. Sgambati grounds into the infield. First baseman came off bag early to get Davis advancing and Sgambati takes second on the throw. Runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out. Hilko with an infield single scoring Davis putting the Scotties back on top. Next two batters pop-out to infielders. Top 7- 2 up, 2 down. Duda intentionally walked. George struck out to end the game.

Scotties score 4 in the 3rd on 5 hits from Megan McMahon, Julia Russell, Angelina Stile and a 2B by Lauren Kersch followed by a 2B by Paige Davis. *Tie Game Scotties hold Greenville the remainder of the game. Scotties score 1 in the 4th when Megan McMahon got on with a leadoff single, advanced to 3rd from 1st on a wild pitch/passed ball. Ana Gold hits into an infield fly. Angelina Stile collects her 3rd hit of the game. Scotties score 2 in the 5th on 3 2 out hits starting wtih Paige Witalec, then a pinch hit from Alison Sgambati, and an off the fence 2 RBI double by McMahon. Go on to score 2 more in the 6th with a leadoff single by Ana Gold, a one out single by Kersch to score Gold; as she stole second the batter prior. Davis grounds out; Tori Kemp with a pinch hit single 1RBI, Paige Witalec with another single on the day.

It was a slug fest, 28 hits between the two teams. Scotties put up one in the first. CNS answers with 3 on a 3 run HR by laRobardiere in the 2nd. Scotties get none in the 2nd. B-Spa holds CNS in the 3rd, while they score 4 in the bottom half on 4 hits from Julia Russell, Lauren Kersch, Paige Davis, and a Caroline Srokowski double. (5-3 Scotties) CNS answers with 4 in the top of the 4th, Scotties have 2 costly errors, mixed in with hits. 5-7 CNS bottom 4 Scotties score 2, leadoff walk from Katelyn Hilko followed by a single by Megan McMahon and ussell with a single. Angelina Stile hits in 2 to tie the game. 5th- BSpa holds CNS to 3 hits, no runs. CNS shuts down BSPa 1-2-3. 6th Scotties give up 3 runs on 6 hits. Bottom 2- Kersch strikes out, Paige Davis with a one out single. Caroline Srokowski strikes out; Alison Sgambati with a fly out to left field. No runners beyond 1st base for either team yet. Top 3- Kersch retires the first two batters herself; then induces a ground out to second baseman (she's K'd 7 of the first 9 outs). Mod 9 Girls softball beat Colonie last night 11 to 3. Marissa Moryl threw a great game with five strikeouts. Hadley Donnelly played strong defense with 3 line drive catches and Emma Gurwitz with four fly ball catches. On offense Kailey Hayes had a home run with one RBI while Marissa Moryl had one double with one rbi, and Brianna Guarino with one double. Great game ladies.

It was a pitcher's Duel today! 1st Inning- Gemmett retires the first three Scotties on a ground out, strike out, and deep fly ball to left field. Lauren Kersch shuts down the top three Raiders with a fly ball to center, and two strike outs. 2nd Inning- Gemmett gets two pop-outs to herself prior to giving up the first hit of the day to Paige Davis and a strike out to retire the side. Kersch strikes out 2 more in the 2nd and gets a ground out. 3rd Inning- Gemmett strikes out the side; Kersch gets two pop outs to first base, a walk, and a pop out to second baseman. 4th Inning- Ana Gold collects a 1 out walk, steals second base and later third. Angelina Stile had a 14 pitch at bat prior to collecting an RBI hit to score Gold. Paige Davis gets her second hit of the day with 2 outs following a ground out by Kersch. Stile advanced to 3B. Caroline Srokowski with an RBI single to score Stile, giving the Scotties a 2-0 edge. Bottom Half- Kersch induces a fly out, and walks the second batter leaving her there with two more strikeouts to follow. 5th Inning- Katelyn Hilko leads off with a hit for the Scotties, however gets doubled off when Megan McMahon lined out to 3rd Baseman M. Kelly. 3rd out was a ground out. Kersch Strikes out the first two and makes a great play on a line out back to her. 6th Inning- Ana Gold leads off with a triple, Angelina Stile is hit by a pitch. Courtesy runner Taylor Russell steals second base putting runners on 2nd and 3rd. Gold scores on a tag up of a ball hit by Kersch. Center Fielder caught the ball on the fence (glove pinned to the fence at the catch). Davis grounds out to the pitcher advancing Russell to 3B; Srokowski strikes out. Raiders try to make a comeback. Lead off double by Ciara Phillips, followed by a double by Jacklyn Dyer (1RBI). Kersch allowed no further runs inducing a pop-out and 2 K's. 7th Inning- Alison Sgambati leads off with a double for the Scotties and advances on a ground out from Hilko. Gemmett gets a K and a fly out to end the threat. Alexa Junco leads off with a single for the Raiders but doesn't get past first base. A strike out, fly out to center, and pop out to SS conclude the game.

Troy scores 4 runs on 1 hit and 2 errors/Lauren Kersch closes the inning. 5th (5-4 Scotties lead) Scotties score 2 more with hits from Julia Russell and a 2 RBI double by Lauren Kersch. Ana Gold had a Sac fly to score a run, a second scored on an over throw. The Scotties score 5 in the inning on 4 hits and 3 Nisky Errors. Lauren Kersch struck out the bottom half in order. 3rd: Scotties Score 7 more on 2 hits and 2 Errors by Nisky. Megan McMahon hit her first Career Homerun with 2 outs (a solo shot) Angelina Stile doubles later in the inning with 2 more RBI. Next batter flies out. 2nd Inning- Lead off Single from Caroline Srokowski, followed by a sac bunt from Alison Sgambati putting Srokowski into scoring position. Next batter flies out; Megan McMahon with a two out RBI single putting B-Spa up 2-0.Bottom 2- Abby Campbell with a lead off single. B-spa retires the next two batters. Two out walk drawn from Julia Rupinski followed by an error on the next play to score Campbell making the score 2-1 B-Spa. Scoreless 3rd. Top 4- Srokowski hit by pitch leading off the inning. Next two batters, fly out and ground out. Srokowski advancing on the ground out. McMahon with another RBI single, advancing to 2nd on the throw to home. Paige Witalec with a pinch hit for an RBI single putting B-spa up 4-1. Ana Gold with a 2 out, 2 run HR stretching the lead to 6-1. (No Bethlehem runners past 2nd base for the rest of the game). Several base hits help the Scotties score a run in the 5th. 7th Inning Katelyn Hilko has a 2 RBI single stretching the lead to 9-1; Scotties score one more run in the 7th on an error.

Student-Athlete Highlights -
Faith DeMars won the 800, 1500 and 3000m races against Burnt Hills and Columbia. She established PRs in the 1500 with a time of 4:46.8 and in the 800 with a time of 2:23.4.

Ballston Spa mod 9 softball won their first game of the season against colonie on Friday. Hadley Donnelly threw a great game on the mound with 9 strikeouts, excellent defense by Emily Krasniqi with five pop fly catches and Jacquelyn Wiltsie with four pop fly catches. Aggressive base running and bats brought in the win 5-2.

Scoreless first two innings. 3rd Inning: Scotties get 2 on the board; one-out single from Katelyn Hilko followed by an RBI triple by Megan McMahon to give the SCotties a 1-0 lead. Sullivan hit into a fielders Choice. Kendall Rafferty belts a 3 run HR to put Guilderland up 3-2. 5th Inning: The Scotties answer in the top half. Leadoff error gets McMahon on followed by a single by Julia Russell. Ana Gold hits a 2 RBI double to give the Scotties the lead for good. Angelina Stile follows the double by Gold with a 2 Run HR over Centerfield Fence. Scotties now up 6-3. Guilderland unable to answer in that inning. 6th Inning: Scotties score another 5 runs. Lead off Single from Alison Sgambati, followed by Katelyn Hilko's double puts runners on 2nd and 3rd for McMahon. McMahon with a 2RBI double. Russell follows with a bunt single and advances to second on an overthrow putting runners on 2nd and 3rd for Gold. Gold hits into a fielders choice. Stile with an RBI single to put the Scotties up 11-3. Bottom half Guilderland makes a comeback... as it begins to rain. Sullivan with a leadoff walk, Lauren Paul hits a single follwed by another 3 run HR by Rafferty. Closing the gap to 11-6. Next batter pop out to 2nd, hit by pitch, pop out to 2nd, ground out to 3rd to end the come back. Scoreless 7th inning.
