The Board of Education has approved the 2023-2024 budget of $104,232,811 and the annual budget vote and Board member election will be held May 16, 2023.
The approved budget includes a tax levy increase of 3.1%, which is less than the District's Tax Cap of 7.0%.
The Tax Cap for the District is particularly high this year due to inflation, new growth (construction) in the tax base, a lower PILOT payment from Global Foundries, and added debt service expensive for the Capital Project approved in 2018.
The Budget Presentation shown below for May 3rd is a summary of all the presentations to the Board and provides an overview of the budget and associated goals, staffing, and programs. The Budget Statement shown below provides detailed information about the budget and information on student test scores and demographics.
