Ballston Spa High School is committed to providing the best opportunities for our students to experience and appreciate the arts.  Our goal is to provide our students with access to a high quality arts education in order to develop the full creative potential of all our students.

Successful completion of one credit of Art, Music or Theatre is required of all students to meet the graduation requirements as set forth by the New York State Department of Education.

High School Visual Arts are offered as an elective and are taught by a New York State certified art teacher. Students receive instruction based on New York State Standards. Some of our exciting courses include Drawing & Painting 1, CHS Drawing & Painting 2, Ceramics, Sculpture, Printmaking, Creative Studio, CHS Photography,  Video Game Design, CHS Graphic Design 1, CHS Graphic Design 2, Advanced Placement Art Portfolio, and IB Visual Arts.
