    This scholarship is offered to women residents of the towns of Ballston, Milton, or the Village of Ballston Spa who have been accepted for admission by an accredited nursing, laboratory technology, cytology, OT, PT, Respiratory Therapy or medical imaging technology school program. They must maintain adequate grades and satisfactory academic progress. Other eligibility requirements may apply. This grant is renewable each semester per guidelines of administrator.     • Upper Hudson River Valley Branch of QDMA - The Upper Hudson River Valley Branch of the Quality Deer Management Association is offering up to two $500.00 scholarships.  To be eligible you must have a basic knowledge of quality deer management and the QDMA group, acceptance to a degree granting institution credit, and preference will be given to students studying the Environmental or Agricultural Sciences. - Deadline February 10, 2020

    • Ballston Spa Cross Country - Track and Field Scholarship - The Parents of Scotties’ Cross Country and Track are proud to be able to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. All senior
      scholar athletes who have participated in the Cross Country and/or Track
      and Field programs are eligible.  Applications can be found in the guidance office, Deadline is February 28, 2020.

    • Class of 2008 for Community Involvement -  The $300 Class of 2008 Scholarship for Community Involvement will be awarded annually to a graduating Ballston Spa High School senior who demonstrates a strong commitment and motivation to improving the quality of life for people in their school, community, and/or world at large through their community service activites. Application deadline is March 1, 2020 and must be emailed to

    • First New York Federal Credit Union - Four $1,000 scholarships will be offered to any member meeting the following material: Applicant must be a First New York Federal Credit Union member in good standing, applicant must be a graduating high school senior, the applicant must plan to attend an accredited two-year or four-year college, and the applicant must be an active volunteer and/or active in their community.  Application must be completed in full and postmarked by March 6, 2020.

    • Burnt Hills Oratorio Society Annual Vocal Scholarship - Two scholarships will be awarded along with the opportunity to perform in an upcoming BHOS concert - May 17, 2020.  The winner will receive a $1,500 scholarship and the second place winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship.  Applications need not be planning a career in music, but the scholarships are intedned to facilitate the continued study of singing in college.  To be eligible, all candidates must complete an application form which is available on our website - Applications must be received by March 7, 2020.

    • Ballston Spa Business & Professional Association - High School Students who hold jobs in the community, while maintaing good standards in their school work and deportment, should be recognized for their diligence and responsibility.  Application deadline is March 13, 2020.

    • Gerard J. Buckenmeyer FASNY Volunteer Scholarship Applicants must: Be a member in good standing with FASNY or have a parent/legal guardian who is a member. Attend high school as a senior who is enrolled in the fall 2020 school year at an accredited two- or four-year institution of higher learning or an accredited technical post-secondary school.  Serve as a current Junior firefighter, Explorer Scout or RAM in a group affiliated with a volunteer department; a volunteer firefighter; or a volunteer with an EMS unit. Demonstrate a commitment to both volunteer emergency service and the community  Be postmarked or electronically submitted by March 15,2020. 

    • NYSUT Retiree Council Scholarship Award - NYSUT RC 10 is pleased to announce a $1,000 scholarship award for 2020 public high school graduating seniors pursuing a degree in education at either a two-year college transfer program or a four-year college.  This scholarship award will be given to one qualified student from each of the four counties represented by RC 10 (Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Washington).  Funds are paid at the end of the first semester of freshman year of college.  Applications can be found at the following website -- Materials must be postmarked by March 20, 2020.

    • Saratoga County Educatonal Local 864 Scholarship - The CSEA Local Scholarship Committee is offering three $500.00 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are children of employees represented by Local 864.  Applications and Transcripts must be postmarked by March 27, 2020.

    • New York State Association of Agricultural Fairs - The NYSAAF and NYSSA offer an annual scholarship program which is available to students who are New York State residents, who currently are (or have previously been) active in a fair that is a member of the NYSAAF or the NYSSA and who plan to attend (or already attend) college in pursuit of a degree. The fair where you have been active or the NYSSA must endorse your application and will submit it for you. Our website offers a complete list of our member fairs.  Applications due April 3, 2020.

    • The Ballston Spa Association of Teaching Assistants Achievement Award 2020 - Each year BSATA awards and Achievement Award to a qualifying high school senior in the amount of $500.  To be considered for this award you must: be a 2020 BSHS graduating senior, have recevied remedial assistance (AIS) from a teaching assistant sometime between kindergarten and senior year, maintained satisfactory grades, have demonstrated above average effort, maintained a positive attitude, shown responsible behavior throughout high school years, and be pursuing a higher education or entering the military.  Completed applications must be turned into the High School Guidance office by April 3, 2020.

    • Hudson Crossing Park - Seedling Award - The HCP Seedling Award is given to a singl recipient who has demonstrated excellence and outstanding dedication to their community and/or the environment, serving as a role model to their peers and showing others that individuals are important and can make a difference.  Applicants are asked to submit an essay of approximately 1,000 works or a 3-5 minute video describing how their leadership and service has made a positive difference in the environment and/or community, and how they will continue to have an impact through college and beyond.  Submissions should be received no later than 5pm on April 3, 2020.   

    • Upstate NY Hosta Society $1,000 Scholarship - On behalf of the Upstate New York Hosta Society (UNYHS), I am writing at this time to share with you the availability of our $1000.00 scholarship opportunity for a local graduating senior students who is interested in entering College or an accredited Post secondary Vocational training program in one of the following qualifying fields of study: Landscape Design/Architect, Floriculture, Greenhouse Management, Landscape Maintenance, Gardener/Groundskeeper, Golf Course Maintenance, Arborist, Floral Design, Biology (with a concentration in Plant Sciences ONLY) Natural Resources, Ecology, Environmental Science or other type of Horticultural major.  Applications must be postmarked by April 9, 2020.

    • The National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame - Rodion Cantacuzene Scholarship -  The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame is accepting applications for the 2020 Rodion Cantacuzene Scholarship, and annual award recognizing young leaders and volunteers through out Saratoga County.  Application deadline is April 10, 2020.

    • The Schenectady Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club - Intrested candiates should submit an essay describing their motivation for pursuing their particular course of study, their future goals, and any current or past activites that show their commuitment to protecting the environment.  Applications are due no later than April 15, 2020.

    • 2020 Irving Flaumenbaum Memoria Scholarship - It is with great pleasure that we annouse the 2020 Irving Flaumenbaum Memorial Scholarship Program.  High School Seniors who apply for the Flaumenbaum Schoarlship are automatically in the running for the Pearl Insurance and MetLife Insurance Company Scholarships.  In total, $23,000 in scholarship money is available to CSEA members' childnre.  High School Seniors are eligible to apply.  Application deadline is April 15, 2020

    • Schuylerville Community Theater - will be offering scholarships to HS seniors who wish to pursue a degree in Music, Dance, Drama or Theater Arts.  Application deadline is April 20, 2020.

    • Student-View Scholarship Program - The 2020 Student-View Scholarship Program is offering $12,000 worth of scholarships to high school seniors who plan to attend a four-year college, community/junior college or career school.  Simply log on to and complete a 15-20 minute application survey about college in your area.  The scholarship deadline is April 22, 2020

    • Adirondack School Counseling Association Scholarship - The Adirondack School Counseling Association provides a $1,500 scholarshop to a senior planning to attend a four-year college or university.  Eligibility requirements are: Student plans to study human services, sociology, psychology or a related "helping" field, student has a demonstrated record of serving others in a huminitarian way, and counselor must be a paid ASCA member.  Applications must be received by April 24, 2020.

    • Lawrence Madeiros Memorial Scholarship - Eligibility Requirements:  Applicants must be diagnosed with a bleeding disorder or other chronic disorder;  Applicants must also be graduating from High School in the year of the scholarship award; and Applicants must have applied to, been accoted at, an accredited college or university.  All applications much be recieved by May 1, 2020.

    • PB & J Scholarship - The PB&J scholarship awards students who have experienced challenges in their life that may not have allowed them to perform well academically but still have the drive to succeed. Application can be found at - Applications must be received by May 31, 2020

    • Saratoga Builders Association Scholarship - The Saratoga Builders Association Scholarship and the “Bob Best” Memorial Scholarship is available to high school seniors or college undergraduates who are planning to pursue construction education at a 2 or 4-year accredited college or university or to students who would like to purchase tools for employment in construction. Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. You must demonstrate current or past involvement in the construction field, including classes taken in high school, to be eligible for this award. You must also submit a high school or college transcript or list of construction classes taken and a short essay (less than 500 words) describing why you are interested in a construction industry career and what events led you to this decision. Deadline is April 1, 2020.
