    • Frances Gray Post and Agnes Hayes Post Memorial Fund - No Deadline
      This scholarship is offered to women residents of the towns of Ballston, Milton, or the Village of Ballston Spa who have been accepted for admission by an accredited nursing, laboratory technology, cytology, OT, PT, Respiratory Therapy or medical imaging technology school program. They must maintain adequate grades and satisfactory academic progress. Other eligibility requirements may apply. This grant is renewable each semester per guidelines of administrator.     • Unviseristy at Albany - Capital District Leadership Awards or visit 

    • Class of 2008 for Community Involvement -  The $300 Class of 2008 Scholarship for Community Involvement will be awarded annually to a graduating Ballston Spa High School senior who demonstrates a strong commitment and motivation to improving the quality of life for people in their school, community, and/or world at large through their community service activites. Application deadline is March 1, 2020 and must be emailed to

    • Youth 2 - Youth Helping Youth Community Service Incentive Award 2020 - Community Service Incentive Awards will be awarded to two deserving seniors from Saratoga Springs High School, The Waldorf School of Saratoga, Saratoga Central Catholic High School, Ballston Spa High School and Schuylerville High School.  The award will be $500 to each winner.  The Youth 2 Advisory Board will review applications and select the two winners.  Applications are due Monday, March 2, 2020.

    • First New York Federal Credit Union - Four $1,000 scholarships will be offered to any member meeting the following material: Applicant must be a First New York Federal Credit Union member in good standing, applicant must be a graduating high school senior, the applicant must plan to attend an accredited two-year or four-year college, and the applicant must be an active volunteer and/or active in their community.  Application must be completed in full and postmarked by March 6, 2020.

    • Burnt Hills Oratorio Society Annual Vocal Scholarship - Two scholarships will be awarded along with the opportunity to perform in an upcoming BHOS concert - May 17, 2020.  The winner will receive a $1,500 scholarship and the second place winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship.  Applications need not be planning a career in music, but the scholarships are intedned to facilitate the continued study of singing in college.  To be eligible, all candidates must complete an application form which is available on our website - Applications must be received by March 7, 2020.

    • The Unified Military Affairs Council (UMAC) Scholarship (awards of $1,000 each available): For students whose parent(s) serve at one of the following military installations: Stratton Air National Guard Base; Navy Operational Support Center Glenville; Naval Support Activity Saratoga; Nuclear Power Training Unit Ballston Spa; Watervliet Arsenal; or Joint Force Headquarters Latham. Applicants must be entering a technical/trade school or a two or four year college or university in the Fall of 2020.

    • The MVP Health Care Scholarship ($1,000): Two awards of $1000 For a graduating senior from a Greater Capital Region high school planning to enter a 2 or 4 year college or university to pursue a degree in a wellness-related field such as (but not limited to) nursing or medicine, nutrition, physical therapy, occupational therapy, sports or fitness.

    • Albany Society for the Advancement of Philanthropy’s Annual College Scholarship Contest The Albany Society for the Advancement of Philanthropy (ASAP) has provided more than $9500 in college scholarships to local area high school seniors that will be attending local Albany area colleges, universities, or trade programs. Seniors who wish to apply for this scholarship must complete a 500 word essay on “What I do to encourage others,” based on their achievements, commitments, and creativity. The scholarship for 2020, will be one (1) award of $1000. This year, the deadline for the essay is Monday, May 18th, 2020.
    • Ballston Spa Business & Professional Association - High School Students who hold jobs in the community, while maintaing good standards in their school work and deportment, should be recognized for their diligence and responsibility.  Application deadline is March 27, 2020.

    • The Malta Ave PTA Scholarship - Awarded to a Ballston Spa High School graduating senior who attending the Malta Avenue School and who has exemplified the Malta Avenue motto "Learning for Life" through a sustained commitment to school and community service.  Application deadline is March 27, 2020.

    • The Ballston Spa PTSA - The Ballston Spa PTSA offers a Graduating High School Senior Scholarships ($250) to recognize positive Growth in Leadership, Academics or School Involvement by a high school senior.  Application deadline is March 27, 2020.

    • 2019-2020 Board of Education Appreciation - Eligible graduating seniors who are candidates for the BSCSD BOE
      Appreciation Scholarship must hold a GPA of 3.0 or higher, must be entering higher education or entering the service, must include an essay and supplemental materials as prescribed below.  Application deadline is March 27, 2020.

    • Milton Terrace North Elementary School PTA Scholarship - A $250 award will be presented to a graduating Ballston Spa High School senior who has demonstrated a commitment to their community through service related activities. Application deadline is March 27, 2020.

    • Gordon Creek PTA Scholarship - Candidates for the Gordon Creek PTA Scholarship must have attended the Milton Terrace South Elementary School (f/k/a Milton Terrace Primary) for all or part of their elementary education and have definite plans for post-graduation education or service.  Application deadline is March 27, 2020.

    • Gerard J. Buckenmeyer FASNY Volunteer Scholarship Applicants must: Be a member in good standing with FASNY or have a parent/legal guardian who is a member. Attend high school as a senior who is enrolled in the fall 2020 school year at an accredited two- or four-year institution of higher learning or an accredited technical post-secondary school.  Serve as a current Junior firefighter, Explorer Scout or RAM in a group affiliated with a volunteer department; a volunteer firefighter; or a volunteer with an EMS unit. Demonstrate a commitment to both volunteer emergency service and the community  Be postmarked or electronically submitted by March 15, 2020. 

    • NYSUT Retiree Council Scholarship Award - NYSUT RC 10 is pleased to announce a $1,000 scholarship award for 2020 public high school graduating seniors pursuing a degree in education at either a two-year college transfer program or a four-year college.  This scholarship award will be given to one qualified student from each of the four counties represented by RC 10 (Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Washington).  Funds are paid at the end of the first semester of freshman year of college.  Applications can be found at the following website -- Materials must be postmarked by March 20, 2020.

    • Saratoga County Educatonal Local 864 Scholarship - The CSEA Local Scholarship Committee is offering three $500.00 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are children of employees represented by Local 864.  Applications and Transcripts must be postmarked by March 27, 2020.

    • Troupe Booster Club Scholarship - The Ballston Spa High School Troupe Booster Club will annually award three $100. scholarships to three orchestra pit, crew, or cast members who have demonstrated leadership, commitment, and contribution to the Troupe theater program.  Application deadline is March 27, 2020.

    • Wood Road Elementary PTA Scholarship - Candidates for the Wood Road Elementary School PTA Scholarship must have completed three (3) years of their elementary education at Wood Road Intermediate School or six (6) years at Wood Road Elementary School and have definite plans for post- graduation education or service. Application deadline is March 27, 2020

    • Miss Scotties Softball - The Miss Scotties Softball Organization will be giving away two $500. scholarships for high school seniors.  Applicants must have participated in the Miss Scotties Softball program.  Application deadline is March 27, 2020.

    • Sunset Grill Scholarship - Sunset Grill of Ballston Spa is offering a $100. scholarship for a Ballston Spa High School who has worked in a restaurant during the school year.  Applications are due by March 31, 2020

    • CSEA Ballston Spa Unit 8455 - CSEA Local 864 Scholarship awarded to students who are children of employees represented by Local 864. Application deadline is March 31, 2020.

    • Jane Coffey Music Scholarship Award - The Burnt Hills - Ballston Lake Women's Club, GFWC is proud to present a $1,500 scholarship to a graduating senior who is planning to pursue further education with a major or minor in music.  Applications due by April 1, 2020.

    • Women's Republican Club of Saratoga County -  The Women's Republican Club of Saratoga County is offering a $500 scholarship for a graduating college bound senior and resident of Saratoga County.  Application deadline is April 1, 2020.

    • New York State Association of Agricultural Fairs - The NYSAAF and NYSSA offer an annual scholarship program which is available to students who are New York State residents, who currently are (or have previously been) active in a fair that is a member of the NYSAAF or the NYSSA and who plan to attend (or already attend) college in pursuit of a degree. The fair where you have been active or the NYSSA must endorse your application and will submit it for you. Our website offers a complete list of our member fairs.  Applications due April 3, 2020.

    • Hoffman Car Wash Scholarship - The Hoffman Development Corporation is offering a scholarship to current and former employees.  Application deadline is April 3, 2020.

    • The Ballston Spa Association of Teaching Assistants Achievement Award 2020 - Each year BSATA awards and Achievement Award to a qualifying high school senior in the amount of $500.  To be considered for this award you must: be a 2020 BSHS graduating senior, have recevied remedial assistance (AIS) from a teaching assistant sometime between kindergarten and senior year, maintained satisfactory grades, have demonstrated above average effort, maintained a positive attitude, shown responsible behavior throughout high school years, and be pursuing a higher education or entering the military.  Completed applications must be turned into the High School Guidance office by April 3, 2020.

    • Hudson Crossing Park - Seedling Award - The HCP Seedling Award is given to a singl recipient who has demonstrated excellence and outstanding dedication to their community and/or the environment, serving as a role model to their peers and showing others that individuals are important and can make a difference.  Applicants are asked to submit an essay of approximately 1,000 works or a 3-5 minute video describing how their leadership and service has made a positive difference in the environment and/or community, and how they will continue to have an impact through college and beyond.  Submissions should be received no later than 5pm on April 3, 2020.   

    • NEW! Field of Education: $1,500 one-time payment -   Since 1960, the intent of the BSTA Scholarship is to recognize and support students who plan to attend an accredited college or university in order to pursue a career in education or an education related field such as guidance, social work or psychology.  The number of scholarships awarded shall be at the discretion of the BSTA Scholarship Fund’s Board of Directors.  We hope to award at least two scholarships to qualified candidates. DUE April 3, 2020

    • NEW! First Response: $500 one-time payment – The intent of this BSTA scholarship is to recognize and support students who have demonstrated that they are community oriented and plan to attend an accredited college or university and enroll in a program of study with the intent to pursue a career related to being a First Responder.  The BSTA Scholarship Fund’s Board of Directors plan to award one scholarship to a qualified candidate this first year. DUE April 3, 2020 
    • Upstate NY Hosta Society $1,000 Scholarship - On behalf of the Upstate New York Hosta Society (UNYHS), I am writing at this time to share with you the availability of our $1000.00 scholarship opportunity for a local graduating senior students who is interested in entering College or an accredited Post secondary Vocational training program in one of the following qualifying fields of study: Landscape Design/Architect, Floriculture, Greenhouse Management, Landscape Maintenance, Gardener/Groundskeeper, Golf Course Maintenance, Arborist, Floral Design, Biology (with a concentration in Plant Sciences ONLY) Natural Resources, Ecology, Environmental Science or other type of Horticultural major.  Applications must be postmarked by April 9, 2020.

    • The National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame - Rodion Cantacuzene Scholarship -  The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame is accepting applications for the 2020 Rodion Cantacuzene Scholarship, and annual award recognizing young leaders and volunteers through out Saratoga County.  Application deadline is April 10, 2020.

    • C.T. Male Assoicates - High School Student Award Program -  To financially award a high school Senior who will be attending college in the Fall after graduation and will be pursuing a career in Engineering, Land Surveying,
      Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Geology, or Automated Drafting. Application deadline is April 10, 2020

    • The Schenectady Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club - Intrested candiates should submit an essay describing their motivation for pursuing their particular course of study, their future goals, and any current or past activites that show their commuitment to protecting the environment.  Applications are due no later than April 15, 2020.

    • NEW! Community Care Physicians Scholarship - We are pleased to invite graduating seniors who are seeking a career in a medical field (e.g. Physician, Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Technologist, Medical Assistant, Pharmacist, etc.) to apply for a CCP scholarship. Two $500 scholarships will be awarded. DUE April 15, 2020
    • 2020 Irving Flaumenbaum Memorial Scholarship - It is with great pleasure that we annouse the 2020 Irving Flaumenbaum Memorial Scholarship Program.  High School Seniors who apply for the Flaumenbaum Schoarlship are automatically in the running for the Pearl Insurance and MetLife Insurance Company Scholarships.  In total, $23,000 in scholarship money is available to CSEA members' childnre.  High School Seniors are eligible to apply.  Application deadline is April 15, 2020

    • Jonathan Foster Memorial Award - Home Made Theater will offer an award to $500 to a graduating senior who will pursue courses in Theater Arts; either as a performer or on the tecnical level.  Application deadline is April 15, 2020.

    • 2020 Horatio Alger Career & Technical Scholarship - The Horatio Alger Association seeks to assist students who have demonstrated integrity, perserverance in overcoming adversity, strength of character, financial need, commitment to pursue career or technical certification/degree, and a desire to contribute to society.  Applications due April 15, 2020.

    • Schuylerville Community Theater - will be offering scholarships to HS seniors who wish to pursue a degree in Music, Dance, Drama or Theater Arts.  Application deadline is April 20, 2020.

    • Student-View Scholarship Program - The 2020 Student-View Scholarship Program is offering $12,000 worth of scholarships to high school seniors who plan to attend a four-year college, community/junior college or career school.  Simply log on to and complete a 15-20 minute application survey about college in your area.  The scholarship deadline is April 22, 2020

    • Baptist Health System, INC - THe Board of Directors of Baptist Health System, Inc. are pleased to announce the eighteenth annual academic Alfred Kahler Scholarship Program.  The Baptist Health Care Fund will be awarding two $1000.00 academic scholarships for high school seniors.  Applications are due no later than Friday, April 24, 2020.

    • Adirondack School Counseling Association Scholarship - The Adirondack School Counseling Association provides a $1,500 scholarshop to a senior planning to attend a four-year college or university.  Eligibility requirements are: Student plans to study human services, sociology, psychology or a related "helping" field, student has a demonstrated record of serving others in a huminitarian way, and counselor must be a paid ASCA member.  Applications must be received by April 24, 2020.

    • NEW! - Daniel X Campbell Memorial Scholarship – CSEA’s Capital Region will award a scholarship to a 2020 graduating high school senior who plans to attend an accredited institution of higher education in New York State. The scholarship will be for $750.00.  DUE MAY 1, 2020 
    • Lawrence Madeiros Memorial Scholarship - Eligibility Requirements:  Applicants must be diagnosed with a bleeding disorder or other chronic disorder;  Applicants must also be graduating from High School in the year of the scholarship award; and Applicants must have applied to, been accoted at, an accredited college or university.  All applications much be recieved by May 1, 2020.

    • The 2020 First Generation Scholarship - First-year students attending a local college whose parents did not attend college may apply for this inaugural scholarship. Worth $2,500!  Application due May 1, 2020.

    • Woman's National Farm and Garden Assoication - Scholarship for graduating high scholl senior or advanced student from areas in which reside, who are majoring in agricultural, environmental, forestry, horticultural or oceanographic related field.  Application due on or before May 1, 2020.

    • Capital District Counseling Association -  The Capital District Counseling Association is pleased to offer four $1,000 scholarships and one $2500 scholarship for Capital Region students. These scholarships are made available to local students who are enrolling at a Capital Region undergraduate or graduate institution.  Due to COVID-19, CDCA will be pushing back the deadline to complete the scholarship application. It will now need to be postmarked by May 15th to be considered. Updates to this deadline will also be reflected on the website.

    • NEW! The Funiciello Scholarship Award - Awards range from $500 to $2,500.  To be eligible for this scholarship, the student must be an alumnus of Newmeadow Preshcool.  The student must be a graduating high school senior accepted into a two- or four-year college program.  DEADLINE: MAY 15th
    • PB & J Scholarship - The PB&J scholarship awards students who have experienced challenges in their life that may not have allowed them to perform well academically but still have the drive to succeed. Application can be found at - Applications must be received by May 31, 2020

    • Saratoga Builders Association Scholarship - The Saratoga Builders Association Scholarship and the “Bob Best” Memorial Scholarship is available to high school seniors or college undergraduates who are planning to pursue construction education at a 2 or 4-year accredited college or university or to students who would like to purchase tools for employment in construction. Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. You must demonstrate current or past involvement in the construction field, including classes taken in high school, to be eligible for this award. You must also submit a high school or college transcript or list of construction classes taken and a short essay (less than 500 words) describing why you are interested in a construction industry career and what events led you to this decision. Deadline is April 1, 2020.
