Student Project Exhibition - November
The Clean Technologies & Sustainable Industries Early College High School (Clean Tech ECHS) hosted the first student project exhibition of the school year on November 2, 2016 from 9:00 am – 10:30 am. Families, teachers, school counselors, administrators, civic leaders, and partners in business, industry, higher education, and non-profit agencies had the opportunity to see our future leaders present their student projects addressing real world issues.
Ninth grade students displayed the infographics they created exhibiting the Habits of Mind: Character, Curiosity, Collaboration, Communication, and Innovation. Sophomores displayed their creative use of circuitry developed for the GLOBALFOUNDRIES Manufacturing Day Challenge. Juniors discussed their innovative creation of an environmental app for the Verizon App Challenge, as well as their infographic for the BioEnergize ME Challenge. Seniors developed marketing campaigns for products they created using nanotechnology.
Over 300 business partners, educators, and family members were in attendance. Students had the opportunity share their ideas with Congressman Paul Tonko (NY's 20th Congressional District) and Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner (Assembly District 113).
