Student Spotlight

  • Congratulations to current ECHS and Hoosic Valley senior, Jamison Jarosz.  Jamison participated in the Teen Driver Safety Event, sponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension, at New Country Toyota.  He was one of the winners of the drawing for $1000.

    Congratulations to ECHS junior, Madison Wolfe, on performing at the halftime show of the Boston Celtics game.  Another example of students being well rounded.

    2015-2016 School Year

    Brooke McClarren, current ECHS sophomore and Broadalbin-Perth High School student, was recognized on CBS Sports Edge for being a well rounded student athlete.  In addition to being in the Clean Technologies & Sustainable Industries Early College High School, Brooke is an elite thrower on the track and field team and a participant in many clubs and activities.  Congratulations Brooke on your recognition!

    Jordyn Catherall, current ECHS sophomore and Ballston Spa High School student, finished in first place all around at the Sweetheart Invitational Gymnastics meet in Fishkill, New York.  We wish Jordyn luck in the State Championship March 19th.  

    Madison Wolfe, current ECHS sophomore and Ballston Spa High School student, has been instrumental in discussing our current P-TECH program.  Madison shared her student point of view of the program and her experiences at the Clean Technologies & Sustainable Industries Early College High School February Information Night.  She was one of two students in the area to sit on a panel with Regent Ouderkirk, Commissioner Elia, Senator Little, and Assemblywoman Carrier Woerner to discuss the benefits of the Early College High School model.  

    Kyle Hudson, current ECHS senior and Ballston Spa High School student, will be attending Hudson Valley Community College in the fall, majoring in Business Accounting.  Kyle is currently in the Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Leadership pathway.  Kyle bowled a perfect 300 game, the first in his bowling career.  He was recognized by YNN as the Top Play of the Week.   Congratulations Kyle and great job!

    Julia Rainville, current ECHS junior, has been an asset to the program and providing information to interested students and their parents.  Julia is in the Clean Energy pathway of the program. Julia, while busy with her competitive cheerleading schedule at Ballston Spa High School, has made time to talk to interested students about the Clean Technologies & Sustainable Industries Early College High School.  She recently presented to students and families at the February Information Night.  Thank you, Julia!

    Anthony Salustri, current ECHS senior and Mechanicville High School student, will be attending Hudson Valley Community College in the fall, majoring in Contracting Management.  He is currently in the Clean Energy pathway in the program.  Anthony volunteered at the sophomore summer bridge program and assisted students with their project and program technology.  Anthony presented what he finds to be the benefits of the Clean Technologies & Sustainable Industries Early College High School program to interested eighth grade students and their families. We wish Anthony the best and appreciate his participation in the program.

    All three students also volunteered to organize and distribute toys to the Bernard & Millie Duker Children's Hospital in December for the holiday season.
