Classroom Supplies

  • 2016-2017 School Supply List

You should have received a supply list with your teacher assignment listing the materials needed for third grade. Since we have limited desk space, students should not bring in large pencil cases or trapper keepers. Our desks fill up quickly!
In my classroom, some of the supplies you bring with you in September will be used as a community. That means I will collect all of that supply and use them for the classroom instead of having you keep them individually. The supplies that become community supplies are the pencils, kleenex, glue sticks, highlighters, tape, and post it notes.  I am looking forward to an exciting year! Thank you for your support!
ALSO: I have my own supply of scissors and erasers for white boards. You do NOT need to bring your own scissors or white sock!
Here is a list of supplies you will need in September:

    • One book bag or back pack to be carried every day!**

    • 6 folders, 2-pocket, multi-colored (blue, red, green, purple, yellow and free choice!)

    • 2 boxes of #2 pencils (sharpened if possible. Ticonderoga and USA gold are the best brands out there!)

    •  glue sticks (no liquid glue please! We have plenty!)

    • 4 dry erase markers, black (Expo are the best! We use these A LOT!)

    • 1 box of crayons (48 count or smaller) or colored pencils (you may bring both if you like!)

    • 1 box of markers

    • 1 wide ruled composition notebook

    • 2 pink block erasers & some pencil top erasers

    • 2 boxes of tissues

    • 1 small hand held pencil sharpener***

    • 1 pencil box ****

    • Headphones for the computer lab (can re-use from last year!)****

    • Art Smock***

Items with a star should be labeled with your child’s name. Many of the other materials such as glue sticks and pencils become community supplies and are used by the entire class!

The following are not necessary, but if you see these when you are out and about and would like to donate them to the classroom, we would love to have them!

    • Ziploc bags (snack, quart, or gallon - with zippers work best)
    • Index cards
    • Post-it notes
    • Clorox wipes
    • Plastic Spoons
    • Any extra glue sticks, tissues, erasers, pencils (We got through a lot!)

Thank you VERY much for your support! These materials will help us as we learn and grow as third graders! :)
