Wood Road is a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) school. PBIS is a school-wide approach to preventing and responding to discipline issues in the classroom, throughout the school, and on the bus. It helps to create and maintain a safe learning environment for all students at Wood Road.
Wood Road has three basic school-wide expectations known as the Three B's:
- Be Safe
- Be Respectful
- Be Responsible
During the first few days of school students will be taught what the Three B's look like in all areas of the school including the classroom, hallways, bathroom, cafeteria, playground, and on the bus. Expectations are kept consistent to make it easier for students to understand what is expected of them. To learn more about PBIS at Wood Road, please visit http://www.bscsd.org/Wood.cfm?subpage=7879
