Open Gyms Grades 9-12 - Open gyms are being offered to high school student athletes through Feb. 11. Students may sign up through Family Id - https://www.familyid.com/programs/winter-open-gym-2020-21. Groups will be limited in size to no more than 25*. Open gyms are not available during your remote weeks.
January 18 - Winter Sports (skiing; bowling; boys swimming) and Open Gym for Basketball and Strength & Conditioning will proceed as scheduled the week of January 18-22. Please note Monday, January 18 is a holiday, there are no practices or open gyms.
January 11 - Winter Sports (skiing; bowling; boys swimming) and Open Gym for Basketball will proceed as scheduled the week of January 11-15. Open gyms for strength and conditioning are cancelled.
January 4 - Athletics and Open Gyms will proceed as scheduled the week of January 4-8.
Six foot distancing will be followed throughout the session. Masks must be worn the entire time. No locker rooms will be available. Please bring your own water bottle. Students attending the 4:00pm or 4:30pm session must go home after school and will not be permitted to stay on campus.

December 21-23 - The high school will go fully remote the week of December 21. All athletic activities are postponed/cancelled.
Thursday 12/17 - Due to the snow day all athletics are cancelled today
Winter Sports Opportunities –
- Low-risk sports – At the November 18 Board of Education meeting, the Board approved our recommendation to allow low-risk sports which includes bowling, Alpine skiing, and boys swimming and diving for varsity and modified levels. However, this week, Section 2 made the decision to move Modified Swimming to the “Fall 2” season which is scheduled to start on March 1st.
- Moderate-risk sports – As noted in previous Updates and in Board of Education presentations, there is still no decision on Indoor Track and there is still no location at which to hold events nor is there a schedule in place for the season.
- High-risk sports – Today, the NYS Public High School Athletic Association announced that high-risk winter sports which were slated to start on January 4 have been postponed until such time as the NYS Department of Health provides authorization for these sports to begin.

*Groups and space limitations are subject to change. No decision has been made by the State as to whether high risks sports will be held this winter. Section 2 will be making a determination on Indoor Track by 12/4/20.

Attending Outdoor Athletic Contest at Ballston Spa
Spectators will be directed to designated areas.
Only 2 spectators per student-athlete allowed.
All spectators must have a Suburban Council badge to enter.
All spectators must complete our contact tracing form prior to entering.
As per NYSDOH guidance, spectators must maintain six feet of physical distance between individuals and/or family/household units at all times and all spectators must wear face coverings when they are in common areas and situations where six feet of distancing is not able to be maintained, so long as they are over the age of two and medically able to tolerate such covering.

Registration for students in grades 9-12 for winter sports will open on Monday, November 2. At this time we do not have specific information as to which sports/levels will be offered. Family Id will have one option, “Winter Sports”, available for registration. Once we have more information about which sports/levels will be offered you will be able to change your registration to your sport/level of choice, if available. We ask that if you anticipate participating in winter sports please register now. All students must have a current physical (physicals are good for 1 calendar year) and register on Family ID to participate
