In first grade, we will study four science units throughout the year.  These units are aligned with the New York State Elementary Level Science Core Curriculum.  The four units are:

• Scientific Method
• Weather
• Organisms*
• Matter (Solids and Liquids)*

* These are kits the district purchases from WSWHE B.O.C.E.S.

      The health program we follow is Know Your Body.  This is a program consisting of several lessons ranging from fighting germs, how to deal with stress, protecting yourself when in the sun to making good choices regarding smoking and drugs.
