PBIS is based on three main ideas:
- Children need to know what is expected of them.
- Children need to be directly taught the correct way to behave.
- The correct behavior need to be encouraged and acknowledged.
In our building you will find The 3 B's posted in all areas of Wood Road. The 3 B's are:
- Be Safe
- Be Respectful
- Be Responsible
In order to help our children know what is expected of them, every classroom and common area will have the same general guidelines. This will provide consistency for the students, which will make it easier for them to understand and learn each rule. It will also provide support to all the staff. Through our “Three B’s” we can address any behavior. The “Three B’s” will be posted in all classrooms and the students will become very familiar with them.
