Welcome back! We had a wonderful first two days of school!

Malta Avenue Calendar 

Thursday, September 7th: First day of school! 

Tuesday, September 12th, 2023: PTA meeting; 6:30-7:30 (via Google Meet)

Thursday, September 21st, 2023: Meet the Teacher Night; 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Friday, September 22nd, 2023: Staff Development Day-½ day of classes in the morning 

Sunday, September 24th, 2023: Malta Drive-In (more info to follow)

Welcome Back Block Party

Thanks to everyone for attending our Welcome Back Block Party! Although it was warm, it was a joy to see our students, families, and staff back on our beautiful Malta Ave campus. A special thank you to all of our families who volunteered during the event and/or who contributed food, drinks, and other items. Thanks, as always, to our Malta Ave PTA for supporting this fun event! We have such an incredible community! 

Malta Ave PTA Drive In Movie Night 

The votes have been counted and the FREE private movie night for our Malta Ave students, families, and staff will be Super Mario Bros! Join us on Sunday, September 24th - the snack bar will open at 6pm and the movie will begin at 7pm (rain date October 1st). A BIG thank you to Business for Good for sponsoring this fun event.

Breakfast and Lunch

Breakfast and Lunch: Students may purchase breakfast and/or lunch in the cafeteria. Information regarding breakfast and lunch, including school menus, may be found on the district website here.

Free/ Reduced Meals: Any family who believes that their student/s may be eligible to receive free meals is required to apply using forms found on the district website here. Even if your family was eligible for free meals in past years, you must apply again this year.

Breakfast Plan: Breakfast will be served each morning in the cafeteria beginning on the first day of school.  Students who wish to have breakfast (either receiving free breakfast or paying for breakfast) will go directly to the cafeteria after getting off of the bus or being dropped off.  

Student Pin Numbers: When purchasing meals from the cafeteria, students will be required to punch in their unique PIN number.  Classroom teachers will provide these numbers to students. Incoming kindergarten students will receive these PINs at kindergarten orientation. Staff members are available to help them during meal time during the first days of school.

Student Meal Accounts:  If you wish to add money to your child’s account, you may do so using the link on the district’s website, found here.
