    Attention 6th graders: Mystery Night forms are due to your math teacher today.

    In the U.S today, there are more than 2.9 million breast cancer survivors – the largest group of all cancer survivors.  Thank you to everyone for showing your support of Breast Cancer awareness by wearing pink and denim today.  Continue this support by purchasing a breast cancer awareness necklace during lunch for $1 each.

    Scotties Closet wants to remind you that donations of clean used clothing and books are being accepted in the main lobby of the Middle School until October 25th.  If possible, we ask that you sort and label bags by gender & size.  Don’t forget to attend the event on November 2nd.

    Want to scare your friends this Halloween?  Order them a Boo-gram!  These are hand delivered Halloween messages that include a sweet treat.  Boo-grams will be sold during all lunches in the cafeteria, starting Monday for $1 each.  All Boo-grams will be delivered on Halloween.  All proceeds go towards our annual Turkey Baskets.

    Creative Writing Club will meet on Tuesday, October 22nd in Room 413.  All 6th, 7th and 8th graders are welcome even if you have not yet attended a meeting.  Hope to see you there!

    8th graders: TODAY is your last chance to turn in your DC Behavior Contracts!  Get them to your English teacher by the end of the day today!

    A Message from Coach Fifield- Due to rain and field conditions, there will be NO open field for softball today. See everyone next Wednesday.

    Regular exercise as well as a diet that is rich in vegetables, fruit, chicken, fish and low-fat dairy can provide some protection against breast cancer.  Breast Cancer Awareness necklaces are going fast!  Service Club is still selling them during all lunches but supplies are running out!   There are three different necklaces with different sayings so be sure to collect them all!  Purchase yours, for $1, before it’s too late!  All proceeds benefit breast cancer research.

    The Environmental Club will meet in room 407 to elect club officers.  Please make sure to cast your vote!

    Due to the rain this afternoon, Softball Open Field will be rescheduled from today to tomorrow at 3-4:30pm.

    We will have a Ballston Buddies Event tomorrow during fifth Block.  All Ballston Buddies Members, please check in with your fifth block teacher and then join us in the cafeteria.

    Breast cancer deaths have been declining since 1990 thanks to early detection, better screening, increased awareness and new treatment options.  Help to continue this decline by showing your support this month by purchasing a breast cancer awareness necklace during lunch for $1 each.  Don’t forget, this Friday is pink and denim day, so wear your jeans and pink shirt!!
