Riley launched his own voice-over business on the freelance website Fiverr, charging clients five dollars to read their script in a “kid’s voice.” Now, three years later, the business has grown and he’s marketing his “teen voice.” In Russia, for example, visitors at a museum hear his voice on an English audio guide.
Recently, Riley decided to enter a YouTube contest called “Living the Example.” The video contest is all about putting the spotlight on teens who understand the importance and value of being good role models and living their lives to the fullest, without the need for drugs. Contestants are asked to submit a one-minute YouTube video, demonstrating why they should be considered a teen who is “living the example.” With the help of his younger sister, Maggie, Riley produced and submitted his video. The next step was getting people to vote for him on Facebook. Riley came in 2nd nationally! As of January 14, Riley was one of five national semifinalists vying to be named the winner of YouTube’s contest!
