Schooltool Parent/Student Link

Here is how Mr. Balet uses Schooltool^TM:

• Mr. Balet makes every effort to have assignments for the current week posted in Schooltool^TM at the beginning of each week for parent and student review.
  
• If there is no grade or code entered for a collected assignment, the assignment grade has not yet been entered.
  
• Assignments are usually graded by the next day.
  
• Any assignment may be turned in "late".  There will be a grade deduction of 25% for late work.  Assignments are considered "late" if they are turned in after the collection time.  Ex) If an assignment is collected at the beginning of class and a student turns in the assignment later during that same class, it will be marked late.
• Here is a list of the codes Mr. Balet uses within Schooltool^TM:
• EX = Exempt from the assignment. (rarely used)
• AH = Student was absent when the assignment was handed out.
  
• AD = Student was absent when the assignment was due.
•   M = "Missing"  Student did not turn in the assignment.
• MI = "Missing Incomplete"  Student turned in the assignment but needs to make corrections before it can be graded.
•   L  = Assignment was turned in late and received a 25% reduction in the grade
• AH, AD, M, & MI all count as a zero until the assignment is turned in.

• Make Flash Cards or a Study Tool to prepare for a test or quiz.

• Find a song related to the current class topic and explain how the lyrics are related.  Or better yet write your own song!!!!


• Complete the Alternative Assignment sheet (at bottom of this page) and associated project, to show Mr. B how much you know about the topic.   Ex) A student who is an avid artist might illustrate the ecological relationships in an ecosystem.
  

• Get involved with extracurricular activities at school.  Ask Mr. B for more info on this
  

• QUIZ CORRECTIONS!!!!  Didn't do so well on the last quiz?  Correct it with full explanations for each wrong question to get ½ the points back.  Instructions on how to do this can be found below.
