The BSHS Mountain Club is a volunteer club organized to help students get involved with outdoor recreation activities. We try to organize a hike or event every month.
The club meets in room 319 on Thursday's as announced.
There is a very enthusiastic group of students who identified a need for a club that get's students outside and into the abundant parks, forests, streams and lakes in the northeast. Any student may join the club at any time and parental volunteers are encouraged.
Mr. Balet assists students in planning and coordinating activities outside of the normal school hours. Participation in any activity requires a parent/guardian permission slip (see attached file on the Events Page) that specifies the parent's responsibility for transport of their child to the site or trailhead of any activity. Every permission slip will have the hike description, meeting point, and starting time.
Check out the Events page for upcoming meetings and activities.
See the attached gear list below for an idea of what you would need for any hike.
