§ You will commonly hear our class referred to as a “Team Laurin.” As our caring community grows, the team will bond together to provide a safe and comfortable learning environment for every child. It is always so exciting to see them transform!
§ In our class we will work toward a major weekly team reward. This is called FRIDAY FUN! If earned, we will spend the last 30 minutes of every Friday engaging in various fun activities that the team will decide on.
§ How does Team Laurin earn Friday Fun? The team will earn points during the week for good behavior, complete HW and so much more. If the team earns the target number of points by Friday they will have Friday Fun. If the points are not earned we will use the time slot for extra work. However, if a team member is to break a classroom rule or act inappropriately, he/she will quietly be asked to write his/her name in a notebook as a warning. If anyone needs to return to the book again that day he/she will put a check next to his/her name. At the end of the week, children who have checks in the book will have “time out” from Friday Fun. (The amount of “time out” is figured according to the number of checks in the book for the week. At my discretion, I can hold team members exempt from all of Friday Fun if inappropriate behaviors are consistent.)
