SOFA
is here to support our kids’ participation and interest in the fine arts
education programs in our schools!
SOFA
will help students of all ages in music, art, and theater throughout our
schools. |

Everyone! Parents,
School Staff, Friends, Community Members who want to support the Fine Arts
Programs in the Ballston Spa Central Schools!

Where will
SOFA
members be found?
|
Participating in fund-raising activities for the benefit of the Fine
Arts programs;
Coordinating volunteer help to assist with Fine Arts programs,
productions, etc.;
Fostering school spirit and pride among our students and the
community;
Promoting and encouraging enrichment opportunities in the arts.

Orphaned
Instruments |
SOFA
collects and donates old
instruments to the Ballston Spa Central Schools' Music Dept., to be loaned
to students who might not otherwise be able to participate in the instrument
instruction program in our schools. For donations contact Don Shore: shore@nycap.rr.com.
For loans, contact your child’s music teacher - SOFA
cannot make any loans directly to the student.

Summer Music Lessons |
2005 marked the 2nd summer of
music lessons being offered to Ballston Spa music students during the month
of July. For a set fee, half-hour weekly lessons are given in the schools to
orchestra & band students by members of the Ballston Spa music faculty. |

Financial Support |
SOFA
has helped underwrite
the cost of High School Band Jackets, and the printing of
Odin's Gift - the Middle School literary/art magazine.

Performance Support |
SOFA
members wear many hats helping at concerts: chaperones, flower sellers,
ushers, stage crew, instrument movers and bake sale sellers!

Cell Phone Recycling |
Donate your old cell phones to
SOFA
for recycling; we will put the
cash to work in our programs. Look for recycle baskets in the school
