Organizations below
are listed as a courtesy to help our students find opportunities for
performance outside of our school groups. Please make sure that you
contact each organization directly for up-to-date information, particularly
with regard to eligibility and audition information.

Ballston Spa Community Band |
The Ballston Spa Community
Band was established in February 2006 as part of the BSCSD Adult Education
program. In the summer interested instrumentalists who play a
traditional band instrument and have completed the 6th grade
are invited to join.
Rehearsals are Wednesday
evenings at the Ballston Spa High School Band Room, from 7:00 to 9:00. A
wide variety of music will be rehearsed and performed.

State Youth Orchestra |
Empire State Youth
Orchestra (ESYO) is an organization sponsoring several performing groups
for talented middle and high school musicians from the Capital District.
Students audition for acceptance into the various groups.
Rehearsals and performances are held throughout the school year,
under the direction of professional musicians. Opportunities to
play with guest artists are also a benefit from playing with these

Springs Youth Orchestra |
Saratoga Springs
Youth Orchestra (SSYO) is an organization sponsoring performing
ensembles and orchestras for talented middle and high school
musicians from the eastern/upstate New York area. Students audition for
acceptance into the various SSYO groups, and, upon acceptance, rehearse
and perform throughout the school year, under the direction of
professional musicians. Opportunities to play with guest artists
are also a benefit from playing with these groups. More
