Every September the students of Malta Avenue School spend one hour a week for the first 10 weeks learning how to use different software applications?

Every 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th grade student learns how to keyboard using keyboard covers. What is a keyboard cover? Well it is just what you might think it is, a soft plastic cover that fits over and hides the numbers and letters.  By the time your child leaves Malta Avenue they will know how to type without looking at the keys!

Teachers are working to integrate the curriculum with technology. For example, students of Malta Avenue School use Microsoft Word, to create stories, poems, and books and even create postcards. Excel is used to enter data, analyze and create graphs. PowerPoint is used to create presentations of research projects and jeopardy games.
