Seniors: Guidance Needs to Know When...
1) When you are accepted to each college or
university that you have applied to, please bring your acceptance
letter to the Guidance Office.
2)
When you are awarded any scholarship and/or financial aid/grant from a
college or university whether or not you plan to attend that
institution please bring in the award letter.

All seniors who are applying
for the Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Scholarship
will need to have their applications to their counselors by
Tuesday, January 6th. For information about this scholarship and
any others, please visit the the Guidance website.

Need someone to listen? Teen
Talk is here to help! Teen Talk is a confidential listening line
staffed by local area teens for teens. When you need to talk privately
about family, relationships, school, stress, or anything else on your
mind call Teen Talk. The line is open on school days between 3 and
8pm. Look for the Teen Talk phone number on posters around school and
in the community.
Also, palm cards with
the Teen
Talk phone number and
information are available in the guidance office and health office.
All photo packages and ID
cards can be picked up in room 327.

Reminder to Seniors, college visit signups are available in Guidance.

Attention all students who
attend sporting events as spectators: Please be advised that, due
to safety reasons, backpacks are no longer allowed into sporting
events. If you absolutely must carry such a bag then understand that
administration reserves the right to search the bag prior to your
admittance.

Request for
Teacher Recommendation
- Give one of these requests to each teacher you
would like to have write a letter on your behalf.
Senior
Survey -All seniors who wish to be considered for
any graduation award must complete a senior survey form and return it to the Guidance Office
during senior year. Listen to PA
announcements or check the bulletin board
for due
dates.
These surveys are distributed to all seniors. This
survey must be submitted in order to be considered for a large
number of local scholarships.
The class
officers, Student Council representatives, and all interested students
within your grade meet to organize and run fundraising activities to
benefit your class, the high school, and the community. You start as
freshmen to fundraise funds for your senior year activities (i.e.:
prom, senior banquet, senior picnic/breakfast).
Getting involved
with your class promotes class unity and class morale. |
