REQUIREMENTS

NOTE: The Regents Competency Test safety net for students with disabilities will continue to be available for students entering grade 9 prior to September 2010. The low-option of scoring between 55-64 on the required Regents exams to earn a local diploma will continue to be available for students with disabilities. The safety net allows students with disabilities who do not pass all Regents examinations the opportunity to meet the graduation requirements for a local diploma by passing Regents Competency Tests (RCTs). Student must take the required examinations; if they do not meet the passing standard they are eligible to take the subject specific RCT. Students may take the RCT before and/or after they have sat for the Regents exam.
