Announcements for today:
The Ballston Spa Schools will close early on Friday,
December 19, 2008. All afternoon and evening programs, including
sports are cancelled.
Ballston Spa School News Notifier System
The Ballston Spa Schools participate in an opt-in e-mail
notification system for parents and residents to receive e-mail
alerts from the district. The School News Notifier (SNN) system
is used by district and school leaders to send district news and
information about emergency school closings. Users can choose to
receive any or all of the alerts and can unsubscribe at any
time. All e-mail addresses are kept confidential. The district
is offering 8 different alerts at this time, one for emergency
information, one for district information and one for each of
the schools to utilize.

quickly on-line by going to

Emergency Closing Information
The Superintendent of Schools is
responsible for the closing of school when an emergency occurs which
would affect the health and safety of students. In the case of
weather-related closings when school is not in session, the
Transportation Operations Supervisor will make an assessment of road
conditions and make a recommendation to the Superintendent of
Schools. Emergency school closing information is available on the
radio and television stations listed below, or on
www.timesunion.com or
www.wnyt.com.
So that phone lines may remain clear to
communicate closure/delay status, please avoid calling the
Transportation Department, District Office, or schools to find out
if school is delayed or closed. |
